3E's Poisons, dosage question

Post by virgil »

For contact/ingested poison, does exposure to multiple doses in volume force multiple saves? For instance, say you have an easy to break back filled with 20 doses of Oil of Taggit that you hand to your summoned monster, then throw it at the monster that has Swallow Whole and wait a minute. Or better yet, what of the 'bucket of poison' technique from all of those creation spells?

Yeah, every dose should be evaluated separately.

The poison rules get really fucked the moment you start quantifying them. Minor Creation makes cubic feet of the stuff, and a single dose has "no appreciable weight."

There's a rule where doubling the doses adds +2 to the save DC. This gets crazy, but it doesn't get as crazy as simply rolling for each dose with a 1s always fail rule.
